I was bored so I decided to write this

A friend of mine came to visit me and as usual, NEPA went total psycho mode on us so everywhere was boring.
My friend took my phone to listen to my playlist and she was shockingly surprised that the only Nigerian music on my phone was Di'ja's Amen. She started mentioning weird names to songs I have no idea it was. She insulted me at first and later asked why I don't have Nigerian songs on my playlist. I told her that I only hear it when I'm at parties. It's meant for parties not when you're trying to relax.

Like I said before, I have just one Nigerian song on my phone and I'm not ashamed of that fact. From Taylor Swift, Lifehouse, Lana del Rey, Tevo lo, The script, Coldplay, Florence and the Machine and others. I'm actually more of alternative rock and less of R 'n' B and hip pop. I've still not closed my heart to Nigerian music but one day, hopefully I can listen to music similar to Asa or Dare.

As for the movie industry, I'm surprised that there's no hype regarding shows like; Before 30, Taste of Love and Desperate Housewives Africa (DHA) (both adaptations) but everyone knows about Empire, Power, Devious maids, Humans, The Walking Dead and others.

I recently got interested in Nigerian TV series, miss those days of Things Fall Apart, Papa Ajasco, Tales by Moonlight, Baba Sala and others. Anyways, I've not watched Before 30 (busy schedule) but I'm currently watching Taste of Love and so far I love the show. The only issue I have is the duration, 30minutes is a short time coupled with the adverts shown during that period. DHA however is hilarious even though it's an adaptation of an American show. Perhaps if there can make few changes so as not to be too predictable for those who have watched the American version?
