What isn't There to Love About Fifty Shades of Grey!!!

After waiting for two years, I finally watched the movie last night. I must admit I was shocked by the huge turnout at the cinema but I managed to find my way through.

Fifty Shades of Grey is a good movie, not because of its famous sex scenes (well, part of it) but because it was like I was feeling the emotions of the characters.

Watching the movie made me see Christian Grey in a different light because I had a love/hate relationship with him in the book. Some think it's all about sex but all I see is a poor boy who was abused in his childhood which has affected his personal relationships, he falls for a girl and tries to be with her the way she wants him to.

A friend of mine introduced me to it because we both have a weird peculiar taste in things. Anyways, she asked me if I heard of the book, surprisingly no because I don't pay attention to books with weird names. When I read the reviews I gave it a try. Before I knew it I was already reading the third book. It was their sexual relationship that drew me to the book at first because let's face it, it's funny and Anastasia Steele is not a good girl like she behaves.

Anyways, back to the movie. I almost two hours on the movie and was blown away. Jamie Dorman and Dakota Johnson's portrayal of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele was impressive though I was among those who were against them when they producers casted them for the role, but I would have preferred to watch it alone. I expected it to be bad but not that graphic because I actually counted how many times they had sex (yup! it's allowed) as far as the book is concerned it was more. One problem I had with movie is that there was less screen time for Ana's friend, Katherine "Kate" Kavanagh, Eloise Mumford, who I always find hilarious in the book.

My favourite romantic scene was when they were dancing in Christian's apartment, it's actually the first time I would see them both happy for a moment before they go back to their fucked up relationship, now I have to read the book again to fully understand the plot *winks* One thing is certain, not going to try out their kinky adventure anytime soon.

I would give the movie a C+, I may be a fan but I have to be objective. The soundtrack is already one of my favourites this year and it's always on repeat.

Make sure you check it out at the cinema near you. it's not exactly movie of the year but it will definitely satisfy your curiosity because let's face it, IT'S FIFTY SHADES OF GREY!!!!!!
