Scandal Season 4 Episode 13 'No More Blood'
Finally! The Olivia Kidnap saga is over. I thought they would drag it out and thankfully they didn't. 'No More Blood' episode revealed a surprise return of a former Gladiator, who also happens to be Olivia's saviour.
The episode begins from where we left off in 'Gladiator Don't Run', The Kidnappers meets the Iranians for the transaction. Olivia managed to buy herself little time, using her fluent Farsi language to manipulate both parties thinking they were planning to double cross each other-a job well done for Olivia.
Andrew however, is offered a deal- Amnesty, well so long as Olivia is alive. Mellie tells him he would never be president and that's far he can go. Andrew threatens her again, playing the affair card- 'I may never be President of the United States but I'll make damn sure you'll never be either,' he said.
Meanwhile Fitz has proved once again the lengths he would go to save Olivia even if it means millions will die. If he can go to war for her then no one is safe. Fitz meets with the FBI regarding the rescue mission to save Olivia. They give him the best and worst case scenario. Olivia is like a Pandora box, open in the wrong hands will be catastrophic. She knows sensitive information that could destroy the country which means they'll keep her alive. Worst case is the price they would have to pay for her freedom- power. With the pitch presented, Fitz still wants to save her which is sad and pathetic. I really want to know what she has underneath her legs for him to go through all this trouble. I'm wondering what if he would have done if it was Mellie.
The auction is back on and our gladiators are trying to get her back. Wonder what their lives would be like without her. Quinn made Huck promise not to kill anyone if they lose the auction. Elizabeth North approaches Huck and offers him money to kill Andrew as a favour for Mellie, he refused.
Abby is in the dark because no one is telling her what's going on until she figured it out that Cyrus has prepared a back up plan to kill Olivia if they lose the auction. "Olivia is the godmother of my baby and my friend and believe me I would avoid it at all cost, any harm coming her way but the state of our nation is more important than the life and liberty of one individual. If Olivia is sold in that auction she will have to die."
Back to the auction, it down between Russia and Marie Wallace aka Huck. Otto asks Olivia who they should go for. Olivia tries to manipulate him to chose Marie Wallace but chose Russia instead. There goes her chances of freedom. Jake tracks down Rowan thanks to Mama Pope, he tells him what happened to Olivia but he didn't seem to care. 'How long? has it been a week and already you've lost, no, not lost, she's been taken," he laughs. Clearly he meant it when he told Olivia that she's on her own.
The moment has arrived. Cyrus and the team are watching the exchange from the drone and is ready to drop bombs when suddenly Cyrus tells them to stop when he sees a familiar face. Olivia's buyer turns out to be a former Gladiator, Stephen Finch, thanks to Abby. Olivia takes the gun from Stephen, shoots Otto in the kneel and starts kicking him with her heels-You should have put a bullet in his Olivia! She tells Stephen to come back with her but he said he's happy where he is.
Everyone is so happy Olivia is back that Huck took precautions and installed locks on her door. So glad Huck is sane again, that butchery in the last episode still hunts me.
And finally the reunion everyone has been waiting for the last three episode. Fitz goes to see Olivia but she isn't pleased with the decision he took to go to war. All the sacrifices to make him President and he failed a simple test- to let her go but instead he went to war. What a strange way to break up with your boyfriend.
Wonder what's next for our favourite TV scandalous couple. Now that she's back will this affect her relationship with others?
