The Last Ship Review

TV writers are getting creative these days. Most shows have smiliar plots; boy meets girl, boy falls for girl, boy's friend or girl's friend comes between them and other scenarios not worth continuing.

The Last Ship is a great show. Due to the fact that it's different from the other shows i watch and it was based on a book of the same name. The show explores the lives of the US Navy and their quest to save the world.

An unknown virus was unleashed that wiped out 80% of the world's population. The virus is one of a kind because one can be infected just by touching and it's airborne (kind of reminds me of Ebola).

Dr. Racheal Scott played by Rhona Mitra, a paleomicrobiologist, was assigned by the White House to find the cause of the pandemic and hopefully, the cure.

She and her lab assistant sailed with CDR Tom Chandler, played by Eric Dane(Grey's Anatomy), the commanding officer of the USS Nathan James (DDG-151).

The Navy who were at sea for three months was unaware of the pandemic until they were attacked by Russians who wanted Scott and her research. After Scott tells the crew what has been going on, they must then find a way to help Scott create a cure before the whole population is wiped out.

I'm going to score the show 6/10. The beginning was a drag but along the line you'll fall in love with the characters. The show is definitely worth the view.
