A MUST WATCH: Beast of no nation

Beast of No Nation

Beast of no Nation is so far the best movie I've watched this year. It's a war drama adapted from the novel of the name, written by Uzodinma Iweala.

The story is told from the POV of Agu, who due to tragedy, was forced to fight in the Civil War for revenge and survival.

The cast includes child actor, Abraham Attah, who plays the role of the protagonist, Agu, and Idris Elba who plays the role of the commandant.

Agu flees from his village after witnessing the murder of his father and brother. He is later captured and recruited by a leader of the rebels they call the commandant. In a group that mostly comprises of children, the commandant uses their psychological trauma to his advantage. This strategy earned him loyalty from his men who are willing to die for the cause. We see Agu transform from a sweet, kind, happy child to a child soldier with no remorse.

Elba did a fantastic job in the movie, so did Attah who had no experience in acting. If you've not seen it, don't know what you're waiting for. it's will get you hooked!
