The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 1 premiered on November 20 2015. Mockingjay was suppose to be the last chapter of the Hunger Games Trilogy but the flimmakers decided to split it so part two is expected to be released late next year.
I'm not fan of cinemas but as a fan of the book I couldn't wait for a few months for the DVD release so I decided to watch it and boy was I disappointed. If not for the cold temperature in the hall I would have slept off. The movie focused on District 13 rebels, their plans to defeat President Snow and the Capitol and also rescue the captured tributes- 123 minutes of my life I will never get back. Even so, I was glad to see the funny and alcoholic Haymitch Abernathy (played by Woody Harrelson), fashion crazed Effie Trinket (played by Elizabeth Banks) and cute Finnick Odair (played by Sam Claflin).
I was surprised that Jennifer Lawrence is not only a good actress but she can sing too, "The hanging tree" song was the only thing that comforted me on the time and money spent. It's topping the charts and is officially one of my favourite songs of 2014.
my advice??? wait a few months for the DVD release and watch it in the comfort of your home. the movie may not be as impressive as the previous two movies but the next one definitely will.
