Scandal Season 4 Episode 16 "It's Good to Be Kink"

Scandal just keeps getting better and better every week. After the season finale of Empire this week, I can finally focus on the show now that they're back at what they're good at- fixing situations and in this episode their client is former gladiator/ friend, Abby.

The episode begins with Abby and Leo arguing about a book proposal Leo received from one Susanne Thomas that not only contains kinky details about Leo sexual preferences but also 17 other powerful people in government. If the book gets published her reputation will be ruined, Abby didn't have a choice but to seek the services of Olivia Pope. Olivia tells her she'll handle it and goes to see the author, Susanne Thomas (played by Lena Dunham).

Susan who is well aware of Olivia's reputation assumes she's here to help her publish her book, instead Olivia kindly threatens to destroy her if she goes ahead to publish it.
Huck demands immunity from David should he decide to testify against B613. David is hesitate at first but eventually gives in.

Just when Olivia thinks it's over, Susan returns and demands $3milllion from Olivia's client to withdraw her book. Olivia tries to give her famous 'outcome of the scenario' speech but instead Susan turns the page and tells her she can do anything she wants since it's her body and left the room with surprising look on the faces of our Gladiators.

Back at the white house, Millie announces she's running for Governor of Virginia and is out shopping for a campaign manager but finally settle for Elizabeth North.

When the threat didn't seem to work, Olivia puts her team to work to find out the names of the remaining people in the book by decoding their kinky names- Senators, Secretaries, Ambassadors, and finally the Attorney General, David Rosen!

Olivia gets them all in the room and tries to convince them to pitch in to settle Susan but David refuses based on his legal and moral ethics and threatens them not to give in.
Abby turns in her resignation letter to Cyrus in case the book get published in which the scandal will negatively affect the White House.

Maybe it's just me but when I hear Marvin Gaye's 'sexual healing,' I assume something is about to go down. Perhaps taking a cue from Susan's Kinky book, Olivia goes to a club all dressed up and meets a tall dark dreamy stranger who she agrees to go home with for the night until when she goes to the bathroom and has a deja vu of her captivity and then runs off (What a waste! That song playing usually means someone is getting 'sum sum' tonight).

Olivia reasons with David and decides to take another approach and starts investigating on Susan. She discovers that she was fired due to her refusing the sexual advances from her boss. Olivia offers to help her get back at her boss by filing a lawsuit against him.

Huck and Quinn goes to Susan's apartment and finds one of her book characters wielding a knife ready to attack her. Huck takes the knife, drags him out of the apartment and slashes Susan throat, much to the horror of Quinn. He tells Quinn she would have talked no matter what and wants David as the Attorney General to take down B613 and get his immunity deal.

Quinn tells Olivia that Susan was murdered but didn't tell her the culprit and hands over the last copy of the book. Abby and Leo were surprised to hear the news of her death but credits her for been a good writer before they start their sexy time- I guess the book is quite educative.

Olivia goes back to the club and see the stranger again. This time she takes him home- beats walking around the apartment with a gun. It's good that she has better use of her time.
